About Sharon Paquette (she/her/they)
Sharon Paquette founded Grounded & Calm (formerly Mindful Meditations) in 2021. She is a certified mindfulness teacher and mentor, having completed two years of training in the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) with Jack Kornfield, Ph.D., and Tara Brach, Ph.D. through the Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley.
As part of this program, Sharon also completed a six-month DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity, and Accountability) Training. Most recently, she completed the six-month MMT Mindfulness Mentor Training Program with Jack Kornfield, Sharon Shelton, and Tara Brach, and is currently mentoring under La Sarmiento.
With over 10 years of mindfulness meditation practice, including 10-day silent retreats at Insight Meditation Society and Spirit Rock, Sharon brings a deep personal commitment to her work. She also has 25+ years of experience as an educator and holds both a current Ontario College of Teachers (OCT #469564) license and a State of Nevada teaching license (NDE #88061), both in good standing.

Our Mission
Sharon’s mission is to help you cultivate grounded presence and calm through life’s many changes. She creates a playful, inclusive, and supportive space, using a science-based curriculum to explore mindful awareness of the breath, body, mind, and heart.
